Do gift card codes expire?

No. Unredeemed codes are valid indefinitely.

How does the recipient redeem it?

They visit the redemption page and enter the code. If they don't have an account, they'll be prompted to create one first.

What if they already have Plus?

Existing Plus subscribers can queue the gift card for when their current period ends, keep it for later, or forward it to someone else.

Can I get a refund?

Yes. You can request a pro-rata refund from your account. A 1-month notice period applies, so the refund covers remaining months minus one.
