I created HAILOOM the day I realized I could no longer retell my grandmother's stories.
I could still feel them.
I remembered the warmth in her voice.
I remembered how alive she felt when she told them.
But the details — the ones that made the stories magical — were gone.
And that terrified me.
Because stories are not just stories.
They are personality. They are love. They are memory in motion.
At the same time, I looked at my own children — still so young — and I realized something uncomfortable.
They are too young today to understand some of the stories that shaped me. And if life goes well — time will pass quickly.
They will grow. They will get busy. They will roll their eyes at the same stories I tell for the 50th time.
And maybe they won't fully appreciate them.
Not yet.
But one day — when I'm not here — they might need to hear them again.
And I won't be able to tell them.
That's when it became clear to me:
We always think we'll have time. Until we don't.
So I built HAILOOM.
Not in a boardroom. Not backed by a fund. From home.
I taught myself how to vibecode. I opened it to 10 people. Then 50. Then 150.
I wasn't chasing growth. I was building trust. Making sure the infrastructure could hold something fragile: people's most meaningful words.
HAILOOM exists so that the stories, truths, family secrets, encouragement, and love we carry inside us don't disappear with us.
